Default main window contoller

I need to replace the main control panel for the windows and locks on the drivers side. The contol will take the passenger side front and rear windows down, but will not bring them back up. But if I use the buttons on the doors themselves, they will roll up. Is this a bad switch issue, or some thing else. And, if all I have to do is replace the main controller, does the whole door panel have to come off?

Your problem might be a wiring issue but replacing the controller will probably be both more likely and much more easy than tracking down a wiring problem. If the 92-99 bonnies are anything like the 87-91 ones (and they are) then too access the controller you have to first of all remove that little wooden trim plate that surrounds the lock/handle/window switches. (its on through a friction fitting). After that you'll be able to better see the controller. The controller is hooked on to the door panel through a tab type thingie (i broke it with this mechanic trying to help fix a door problem i had). You probably won't be able to remove the switch until you remove the door panel.
do becareful to support the door panel because the cable running from the door switch to the rest of the car goes through the door and thus you might brake it or its connection if you let it support the weight of the door.

Good luck!
