Make sure the electrical connection to the sensor is good. Could be that simple.
Turn ignition off.
Unplug MAF connector.
Turn ignition on.
Measure volts between trminal 'A' on connector and ground - should be 5 V.
Make sure you have a good ground at terminal 'B' of connector.
Check to make sure connectors are clean and tight.

If all that is good, carefully remove the MAF unit from the throttle body, and inspect it to make sure you can see the two tiny wires. If one or both are broken or gone, you gotta buy a new sensor. If both wires are still there, take a Q-tip and some alcohol and very gently clean the wires. They are delicate and expensive (about $100) so be very careful. If that doesn't fix it, you probably need to replace it.

Good luck

If you have a set of needle nose pliers, you should be able to unscrew the bolts with those. That'* what I've been doing at least.

Voltage between terminal C and B (ground) is ignition - 12V
Voltage between terminal A and B should be 5V.

In 1995, the wire colors were terminal C - pink, terminal A - yellow, terminal B - blk/wht

Hope this helps.
