Bill..Do you remember this throttle body that you shaved the throttle shaft on for me? Here'* a picture of it. What size bit did you use to drill this ring?



BTW.. FSM instructions
1. Remove the air cleaner intake assembly .
2. Remove the snap ring at the air inlet screen on the throttle body.
3. Inspect the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate for deposits. It is necessary to open the throttle valve to inspect all of the surfaces.

I use an old compass with two metal tips and crank it together to take off the ring. I guess it works, haha.

They vary by year and there are two types. L27'* SHOULD have overlapping 'notches' IIRC.

I have both types of these from various 3800 TB'* at home. I can shoot pics later to show you.
