I have a question.....i have a custom intake that pos one on ebay...and i still ahve teh screen in...but when changing the intake i noticed that it is dented looks like a rock hit it or something...on the left side of it...would this cause my car to run rough or soemthing?
Absolutely, just like a radiator bent fins restrict air flow. Also its designed to straighten ariflow across the MAF sensor but if its dented it obviously can't do it. I'd pull it and see if it runs better, if not try to straighten it out and reinstall it or stop by a junkyard and pick up another one.
I'd carefully pull it out and see how it runs. If its crappy then you can try to straighten it out and replace it. If its still no good the only thing I know is to stop by a junkyard. You can call your local dealership and they *might* have one. Or they'll have to order one from another dlr.

Means is that with a supercharged engine.. anything to increase air volume and exhaust will have a more significant increase in power then N/A. I"ve noticed a ( I can feel it in my pants ) increase when I removed mine
