Default Low Boost

I have a 3800sc from a 93 SSEI in my fiero , from reading many posts here my boost levels are way low. MAX boost I am only getting 5 sometimes 6psi. some has said I should see upwards of 10psi. Any suggestions on what to check ? Gas milage is around 7-8 mpg, I expected much better than that. Thanks for any help.

The boost will vary depending on intake and exhaust restrictions.
You probably have a slightly modified version due to adapting to the fiero.
Very poor mileage. You should be getting twice that but if your foot is always in it, well.
That fiero must really move.

I used a Honda CRX Air Intake , leaves the filter right behind a side scoop , so no restrictions there, and my exhaust is about 8" of pipe coming off the manifold into 2 Cherry bomb mufflers going to each side of the car. I dont think they would be very restrictive. I have gotten a few codes from the ecu one was 64 and other one was 60 something cant remember. I know something isnt correct . It doesnt really have the power I would think it should. I have read alot here of people saying they are gettin 9-10lbsbut maybe they are refering to a series 2 than the series 1.

Default no

The people that are pagging the boost gauge have better pullys, wires, intake, exhaust. The fact that your only running cherry bombs... no backpressure? everything short of a hopped up 350 chev needs back pressure..

Make sure you have no vacum leaks and the boost selinoid is not broken. I can get about 9psi on hot days. Past 10 on cold days.

K, Thanks for everyones help but I finally found my problem. I guess the belt must have been slipping????? I out a new belt on it and Im getting 8-9lbs of boost. I never thought a belt would make that big of differance but slipping guess it would. Thanks again for help.
