The number of razor blades will vary. I gently scraped the surface of the heads to remove any excess gunk. To clean the surface of oil and coolant a rag and brake clean works wonders.

Wh ere do these stove pipes get installed? Are they for the egr? I am replacing an engine and want to do the intake manifold gaskets before the install. I got an engine from an 97 GP and do not want to wipe out another engine.. I know I need the upper and lower gaasket, coolant elbow. 180 T stat. I have to check out the intake manifod on the new engine and I will check the one on the old one to see which one is in better shape.. Is there anyway to shield the intake so it does not get brittle? Or is that where the stove pipe comes in??
