Default LIM Failure?

My car is going into the shop tomorrow because the mechanic told my nana that my car was leaking oil from the valve covers but i was thinking, could this be the LIM? The UIM was replaced almost 2 years ago but im not positive if they did the lower..any input would be great. Thanks!!!

Any symptoms besides external leaking?

Is the fluid oil only?

Sounds like valve cover gaskets. Pretty common. Easy fix.
