Default Left head vs. right head?

Hey guys I made it up to the heads now. I'm a little confused at this point and I have two questions.

1. My head gasket set differentiates the left and the right head. Probably a dumb question but to clarify, is the direction orientation like this?

Front
Left Right
Rear

2. The two heads look absolutely identical to me, except one has a stud sticking out. Which one should I put on the left and which one is right? Sorry for the bad pictures

Not an expert here but Id believe the head with the stud sticking out would have been the front head. There should be another stud screwed into that head and the ECM mounts on them. As for the gaskets the felpros I used were the exact same just flip one so the arrow points toward the front ,passenger, side of the engine.

So the stud should be sticking out to the front and not to the rear of the engine? Thanks a lot!

both heads are identical. That stud would have been on the radiator or left side. On the gaskets, just point the arrow to the front and you are all set.
