Default Left blinker not disengaging

My left blinker doesn't disengage when I straighten from out of a turn. Is this just a situation to replace the switch at the bottom of the signal stick?

I thought it was disengaged by something called the turn signal cancel cam...some piece of plastic in the steering column. I could be way off base though...
