Default L36 oil dipstick broke.

Bumped the yellow plastic dipstick handle, on my 1996 model L36, and it broke.

Are there any aftermarket dipstick handles available?

GM was real cute bolting the tube to the exhaust manifold and dumping all that heat into the dipstick.

A replacement from the dealer is quite inexpensive. I went that route last year.

Check a salvage yard. The oil dipsticks are plentiful and probably only cost you a few bucks!

Thanks for the replies just wanted to see if there was a better replacement than stock.

Rumor is they are around $7 at the dealership under part #12574823.
