Question L26 LIM on L36 ?

Will a L26 Series III lower intake manifold bolt right in place of an L36 Series II ? (Is it identical?) I'm looking to replace the pitted LIM on my car with a used one in very good shape if anybody has one (if its ported even better!)

I don't think so, the L26 is */C right? so the heads are different, and the LIM is different

but don't quote me on it, its a little early still

The L36 and L26 are both NA motors. The L26 is aluminum whereas the L36 is plastic/nylon.

The L26 is not a direct bolt on in two respects. The PCV and throttle body bolting. There are many write ups on how to make the minor modifications that I've read and overall it'* not a tough swap.

Another consideration is to plug the coolant port holes for the TB in the LIM. Much easier and doesn't require any additional purchases beyond the plugs.

Sorry for any confusion, I meant the LOWER intake manifold. I found a L26 lower in excellent shape and was hoping it would just be a direct replacement for my L36. It looks the same and the part # for the LIM gaskets were the same, but I wanted to be sure.

I already have a APN upper intake to install, so I dont have any need to swap over to the L26 UPPER intake.

The lower is a driect bolt in....buttttt unless you are cleaning up the passages or porting it. You shouldn't usually need a new one.

my LIM was too pitted around where the cooling passages seal and I didnt want to take any chances.
