My own '94 SE has it right above the starter below the front cylinder bank. I was messing with mine when I had a bucking and stalling problem, but it turns out all I needed was plugs and wires

Just wanted to thank all of you for this thread. On a 88 Bonneville engine code C it is right near the oil filter adapter. This forum post helped me find it.

My car has both front engine/tranny mounts broken. The knock sensor picks up the engine smacking the cradle when decelerating at low speeds and the engine dies. I knew it was timing related by the backfire through the intake right before it dies. Unplugged the knock sensor and it still dies but no pop back. Was just trying to make the car drive-able so i could go get the parts. Replacing mounts today. Wish me luck it fixes the issue.
