Default Knock Knock continued (spun bearing)

Well, my uncle confirmed that I spun a bearing so I decided Ill just pick up a used longblock. Searching the local salvage yards I found I could get a Series II L67 cheaper with less miles than a Sereis I L67. So my question is, what would be involved in swapping a Series I for Series II?

Full PCM, harness. To keep your tranny, you'll need to get a 96 computer i believe.... Otherwise you'll need the 4t-65e because of the computer.

Umm, I was under the understanding that PCM and ECU were basically the same thing, just ford used one name and gm used the other? Please correct me if I am wrong

Okay, And how hard is it to work with the engine harness? Has anyone on this forum done a Series 1 to Series 2 swap, and at what difficulty level am I looking at? Also what kind of problems would I be looking to overcome.
