Default Transmission Noise

When my car shifts from 1st to 2nd and occasionally from 2nd to 3rd there is a buzz noise right before the shift. Has anyone had this happen or know what it is? I'm terrified my tranny may die. Thanks.

When I bought my car it did that. I changed the fluid and put in shutter fix and it went away.

there were no harsh shifts or anything like that, it was shifting great.

I took it into a transmission shop that and they said that the problem was a plate around one of the bearings was damaged and the buzz was the car finding the gear. The estimate was $1000 - $1500 CAD. Talking with friends, we realized that was about the cost of a rebuilt tranny so I took it to a few other mechanics, one being my family'* that we always go to. They all said it was not the tranny - it was an electrical noise and it'* nothing to worry about.

So apperantly, the tranny guy was trying to screw me, and the car'* fine.
