I searched the K&N site to find their replacement air box filter for my '93 SLE. K&N does not list a replacement; but they do for a '94. If I do a search by OEM cross reference; then they list 3 possible replacements???? I contacted K&N and they said that they do not recommend a replacement for a 1993 Bonneville because the air box flexes too much under hard acceleration, and that may cause gaps that would let unfiltered air into the engine. Wouldn't a '94 air box be identical, resulting in the same problem?? Im confused...... :?:

The air box is the same from 92-94 L27 engines. The L67 air box is the same from 92-95.

Use the 94 filter. It should come with a foam gasket to help seal. Mine did way back when. If you are unsure, put a film of grease around the sealing edge, put the filter in, run it, open it back up, and see of the grease made contact all the way around or showed signs of air passing through the grease. That'* what K&N told me when I asked the same question.
