Angry just keeps dying

I have a 99 bonneville that keeps dying while you are driving it. it runs, then you coast, when you start to give it the gas it dies. It will not set a code to check. some times you can put it in nuetral and restart it like nothing happened. Sometimes it won't start after it has been sitting awhile, but after you try it, let it sit for 5 min it will start right up. any ideas what to check?

Check over the coils real close, these tend to cause problems when hot. Also check over your battery cables and clean them good.

Along with what Dan suggested, another module to have tested at any parts store would be the Ignition Module.

When the ignition module begins to fail, it may cause hard re-starts or stalling issues.

savage_973, is your car a 1987 or 1997? You mentioned 87 SSEi there was no SSEi back then just an SSE

Big difference between the to motors.
