Car keeps dying?
Over the last 3 days while driving my car it would just die. Here in Albuquerque there are a lot of hills and as I would go down just coasting the car would die or if i come to a stop at a stop sign it will die but it will start right back up any sugestions would be greatly accepted the car is a 2000 SE with 112k on it
A MAF sensor will not make the car die. If the MAF signal is lost, default values in the PCM are used.
Does this sound reminiscent of the silverbullet saga? And the cause of a few burnt-to-the-ground cars? Loose connections in the underhood fuse/relay box?

Not sure if the systems are similar but my 98 did the same thing it was the fuel pressure regulator after replacing a bunch of parts. Then a month later a recall letter came in the mail for the regulator.
i changed the oil about 1000 miles ago. When it dies I've noticed the headlights will start to slighty flicker than it dies, whats funny is the only way i know it'* died is because my oil pressure gauge is on 0 all of the other gauges stay where they should, volt rpm speedo etc. but it will restart without a problem. also there is no cycle or certiain things that trigger it city or highway driving it occurs. My local dealer is backed up so Im in a tight spot being that it is my daily driver oh it does have sluggish acceleration at times but when it dies no lights come on being that the key is in the on postion
Also, just to be certain, check fuse #19 in the underhood fuse box. Pull it out, and push the metal tabs in the fuse block closer together, and reinsert the fuse. And swap relay #38 with another one of the same number printed on it.
