I've always been lucky enough to have glass coverage. Harbor Freight by me sells a windshield removal kit. ~$20 I think. Looks like a couple handles and some wire.

No surprise..but it'* in the automotive section of the store. Although..you never know where you'll find stuff in this place.

I once got my finger caught between a couple of gears that were turning into each other. Man, that hurt! The manager was extremely upset by this and wrote out a report that I wasn't using the display equipment properly. I regained the use of my finger in about a couple weeks. I hope this visit goes more smoothly.
