I've got codes! hehe need help
Hope you guys can help me out some here or there will be a "bonni-fire" at my place.Well to give you some history bonniville 93 3.8 rebuilt motor by me less than 1000mi ago. Car has 168k on it. During extraction broke temp sensor near fire wall in intake so I went to replace it. Got a sensor that had different receptical on it. Was assured it was right sensor just needed a pig tail. This sensor is to run the temp gauge in insturment cluster. The sensor that I got wasn't correct. I had SES light on and no temp readout in cluster. I since have gotten the correct sensor and the gauge is working now but, Still have SES light on. I pulled code 15 off of it which reads : " Coolant sensor or circuit/low temperature indicated" however when car is running fans on the radiator are running constantly. They never cycle. Sure does make for a slow warm-up. Anyone know where that other sensor goes? Next . Took the car out and noticed that it would not hit passing gear. It will gear up and down at given speeds but will not gear down under more throttle. Not even floorboard. Has to be getting enough fuel though because when i got to flat ground got speed up in just OD. Then came to slow turn ( low rpm ) car stalled. I pulled another code. 22 :" TPS or circuit -voltage high". Did diagnostic on TPS and it looked cool : closed 1.5 ish , Full 9+ ish @20k ohms. Had steady ramp on reading all the way. No jumps or dips. Also car is inermitantly hard to start. Any help would be appericiated. Also all those who give help are invited to the fire should no luck be had. There is 3/4 a tank in it And I have Beer!

The coolant sensor switch could be bad. Did you replace the broken one with a new one? Also, test the wires to the switch and make certain they are not grounded.
The fan control issues are probably caused by the faulty coolant sensor switch or a relay in the system.
Let'* see if we can't get this resolved and then move on to resolve the other issues before you decide to thermally terminate your relationship with your car.
Please add your year and trim of your vehicle to your signature line. That way when you start asking questions in other areas of the forum, we all have a better idea on how to assist you. Click on "Quick Links" above, go down to "User Control Panel" and then click on "Edit your Signature" It'* pretty straight forward from there.

Sensor is new. I traced the harness. No breaks. There is only one wire green with white tracer. when I was testing it would peg needle to full hot when grounded. It will register temp in cluster. Burnout will not end relationship. I just didn't want to tell yall what I was gonna Do the the ashes I will do the sig. but what is "TRIM"?

Check on the intake side of the motor around the T-Stat. I don't have a factory service manual for your year, but the references I have indicate that there are more than one.
