Default info on security light

Hi all, my car is a 97 ssei, i have owned this car for 2 weeks, everything seemed to fine untill yesterday. started fine that morn. drove to town got back into car about an hour later put the key in and nothing! We have checked all fuses, relays, starter, battery cables were pretty bad, fixed those. The computer code it gives is p1629. car seems to start and run fine now but the security light stays on solid all the time.also the traction control, and the ABS light comes on. any suggestions? I know the p1629 is a anti theft crank stop, but its cranking now and the light is still on. Is it safe to drive?

Thanks,Astrobird

First, try erasing all the codes, since it seems you've got access to a scaner! See if the code comes back. If it doesn't, then it just must have a temporary code.

Pull your PCM fuse or disconnect your battery for several minutes. That will clear any current codes. Some autoparts stores will scan for free.
