280 isn't the end of the world.... You have some premature wear now, from heat expansion/wear, etc. It might burn oil earlier then it would have, etc.....

Did your fuse box get damaged? I keep mine on the washer bottle cause the belt scares me.

I'd replace both belts with New gatorbacks. If you locked up a pulley your belt was being worn HEAVILY where the balancer was still turning.

well i looked over it for about 45 minutes and there was no damage, other than the underhood cover that probably got whacked a couple of times

Dammit. I'm still stuck thinking you have a Series 1. You need to add to your sig. The accessory belt drives your WP, but not mine.

I was going to say, the Series II engine only has the supercharge on that belt. The accessory belt runs everything else.

Here is my reciept from three days prior to the incident. I clearly stated that there was a light squeak coming from the acc belt region. I was told that it was nothing. The figures on this sheet are irrelavent so don't open your mouths about that!!



I think I'm screwed on the "OK at this time" part.
