I'M F-ING ANGRY!!!!
What exactly is the problem with the 92 tank? My family has 3 92 H-bodies, and a new strainer fixed all the stalling problems. We've had a few fuel pumps die, too. But never a tank, with a combined 730,000 miles on them.

I took it to the shop. Told the guy the problems and the symptoms. He said that since it doesn't happen very often he can't promise anything. So, if he can't figure anything out, I'm going to take it to one of the dealers here in town and have them look at it to see what they can come up with. If nobody finds anything that they can fix, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I might just sell it and get a newer bonnie. This is such a big, annoying, on-going, saga that I dislike a lot.
This happened to my friend and its a relatively easy fix. Its DEFINATLY easier than buying a new car.
Check the harness connectors under your dash. There is one relatively large one under the driver side that carries ignition wires and such important things. There is sometimes a problem where the connection is bad, even to the point where it melted the connector onmy friends. The mechanic told him theyve seen this on a lot of similar-year H-bodies..
SO easy way to tell is to wiggle-jiggle as MANY wires as you can possibly reach under the dash and try starting your car, if it doesnt start then that should be the spot!
It seems like it COULD be the problem because the wires arent moving ALOT so it wouldnt happen all the time but a big hill/kick in the dashwill cause it to stall/not start.
Just a thought.

Yeah dude, this is nothing. The majority of us have gone through much worse stuff, and guess what? We still have our cars. Look at what I am doing, dropping the tank would be a walk in the park, IMO. I haven't dropped my tank before, so I'll let someone else chime in with some instructions.. but I guarantee it isn't going to be 6 months of torture with you spending hours every night trying to get it off. Just grab a few pizzas, you'll attract some strong guys [and some pot heads.. so weed them out, they aren't very strong].

I am not going to sell my bonnie for no reason at all. If they can't fix the problem, then I will think about it. I don't have the right tools and stuff to drop the tank by myself. Some of my friends have some good stuff for this, so I will see what I can do.
I hate to be the one to ask a stupid question, but when was the last time you replaced the fuel filter? My brother'* Duster got to the point where it was stalling and all it was, was the fuel filter was clogged with about an ounce of gunge.
I highly doubt this being a problem, HOWEVER, this is a great point. Mine is original, and my car ran fine like that. I know it is original because it is just about rusted through..
