Default i really did it this time

i went to go to timmys this morning, got about 2 blocks away stopped at the stop sign went to go then crrrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnccccccccchh hhhhh (tranny). i dont understand it, the car has been running fine shifting nice and all of a sudden it just broke. Reverse seems to be ok but it dont wanna go forward.
well im glad its still under warranty, its kinda weird i gotta 60 day warranty and it broke on the 59th day.
does anybody know about how much it costs to get one of these things replaced or anything performance i could do, torque converter maybe? if i did go with a different converter what stall speed would be good?

the tow truck just left with my car, as we were pushing it into the street he said "it broke in your driveway huh" i didnt know what he was talkin about until i went back to the house and saw a couple gears a shaft, a bunch of other broken steel parts and a puddle of tranny fluid in the drive way. the worse part of it all is that my warranty expired 2 days before it happened (i thought i had warranty left).I think a rebuild is outta the question, i found one in toronto for $800 with 93000kms might have to go that route, just waitin for the tranny shop to get back to me

tranny shop called me this morning, he said the differential broke through the case, they should have the tranny outta my car today he said he might be able to fix it. would i still have to get the whole thing rebuilt or just a new diff and case could that mess up other internals? i kinda wanna use the junkyard one as an absolute last resort being it has 93000kms, i dont know much about transmissions but i sure know how to break em, my sunfire gt needed 2 now the bonneville all these in the last 2 1/2 years, does anyone know if there is a performance diff out there (might as well go performance if avail)
