I have a theory that you have something electrical warming up and causing the issue.

Currently you have an intermittent problem that is not showing up with testing. Start the car and mist the engine with a hose. Heck..dump 500 gallons on it as if you were washing the engine down. Paying attention to where you are spraying.. does the rpm change at all or does the car die out when you hit any area? If there is something electrical (coil etc) that isn't sealed..this will probably short it out. Then the part will be bad and you'll be able to find it.

This past w/e I was changing my sisters brakes and decided to clean the engine. An hour later she was back saying it ran bad. I tested coils and they all ohm'd out good. The car had a miss...and when I tracked it down..one coil wasn't firing from both towers. Odd..the test was good..but the coil was bad. Something to think about..the test might be coming back good on a bad part.

Pickup a fuel pressure tester at an auto parts store. Hook it up at the fuel rail fitting. Turn the key to on a couple of times, then bleed the air out of the tester. (There will likely be a little button attached to a hose to accomplish this. Put the end of that small hose in a container to collect any gas.)

Then turn the key on and off a few times to get your highest reading. Then start the car and see what that reading is. Remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator, and check that reading. Turn off the engine, keeping the gauge attached, and check to see if the pressure drops. Try for at least 15 minutes, maybe getting a reading every 5.

The symptoms you describe are that of a engine that isn't getting enough fuel. A pressure test should show you this... I extended my FP tester hose to about 7 feet to watch while driving. It'* invaluable.

I tested one bonne that was having an issue above 60mph. Turned out his fuel pressure was 10psi.. or about 25psi too low to be running decently.

I have the Actron gauge, works fine and has the proper fittings. I'd assume that the Sears one would also. Check and see what it says as far as vehicles.

You can't pull the codes by the jumper. '93 was the last year for that. You have the hybrid computer/codes, so yours is a bit tougher to find the proper code reader.
