HUD problem
Hello. I just bought a '93 SSE and I am having the exact same problem as SSEimatt93. Was there a solution to this problem? The HUD worked fine when I test drove the car last week. The battery was replaced by the shop where I bought it and now the up and down slider will not work.
From what I have read, this is a mechanical device and should not be affected by the battery swap. When I peek over the top of the dash I can see it clearly working. I did a search in the forums but I could not find anything. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark

I'm reading this thinking..Now what Bonneville SSEi was it that did that to me, then I rememberd it was my Second 93 SSEi
My cable was broken off at the switch itself..I could manually adjust the hud setting with a pair of pliers on the end of the cable, I set it in a good spot and left it there...

Thanks for the input guys. I am not going to mess around with the dash in such cold weather (-21C). I'll wait 'till it warms up a little or get it inside at work. After doing a more refined search on this site, I found a few other threads with some good info on how to fix this problem.
Great site...glad to be here.

The dash came off easier than I thought it would. The cable was on but it was bent and frayed. I just disconnected it and pushed it up so I could see the image on the dash and left it there.
Works great.Thanks guys.
