I bought an o2 sensor for my Trans Am and it has the same PN as a 94-96 bonneville. GM# 25312184. I have a single wire o2 sensor on my car and I'd like to adapt the 4-wire sensor to my 1-wire setup since I can't return the sensor and I'd have to buy another. Does anyone have a pinout for the 4-wire sensor and which wire I'd have to connect to on my 1-wire car?

4 wire sensors are heated element sensors and have no place on a car that takes a one wire. find a way to return it or buy the correct part.

I don't know what the differences are from a heated to non-heated, other than the heating element. Will it read in the same manner? I don't know. But if you are positive you can't return it, or maybe even sell it to someone here (hint hint), look for the purple wire.

The sensor you have was not intended for your car. I'm unsure about the pinout etc and what effect a heated sensor would have versus the original single wire. Others should be able to help more.

Depending on if you would keep it for your other car or not, I'd probably consider putting it into the for sale area and recoupe your money, then get the correct sensor.

I'm not sure what the difference are either. The 4 wires are signal feed, signal ground, heated feed, and heated ground. In theory I could probably just connect signal feed to the original wire on the car. But I don't know if the sensor would be affected since it wouldn't be heated anymore..

If there is a signal ground, you'd need to ground it. Normally the one wire 02 grounds like a spark plug, through the threads.
