how long does it take...

how long does it take to remove a l67 with trans from a 93 Bonneville?

depends what tools you have available, and if you are picking the engin up with a cherry picker or dropping the subframe

dropping it out the bottom is the best way just my.02 but it should take about 3-5 hours tops

If you don't care about it and just want it out. Then the torch and cut method probably yeilds a result of done in about 1 hour.

OMG.... My friend did that once... Car was totalled... Set it on jackstands and torched the front of the body off, then torched the subframe and dropped it on the ground.... We later removed the engine and tranny from the subframe and installed it all in another W Body.... Sure made it fast...LMAO

I once bought a car for the GM 350 in it. didn't care about car. Torches, sharp knife and wire cutters we had the motor and tranny out in under 15 minutes.

Pushed the carcass outside and put down the speedidry.

Put car on flatbed and took off the brand new tires.

Sold tires to friend for $100, made $25 on the whole deal and got a fresh motor and tranny

I'd say, undo all of the motor mount bolts, trans mount bolts, oil, trans, PS lines and coolant lines along witl all of the cables and electrical connectors.... May want to remove the compressor.... Once you get all of that done and you are sure you got everything remove the hood, get the cherry picker and yank the motor/tranny... Keep any of the good stuff you may need later...

I'm sure I missed a few items.... But you get the idea... That should be a few hour job at the least....lol

I think it is pretty easy... took my mechanic about an an hour I believe... He said he could swap a 93 L67 in 4-6 hours, depending on if it was a straight swap, or if things needed replacing. If you don't want to mess with the tranny, then out the top is best and easiest... plus you can still move the car.
