Default high beams not working

My high beams are not working on my 93 SE, was wondering if any insight was available. I tried searching and just found pics of car with thier headlights on. The lever makes no sound whatsoever when you pull it back, and it seems like a piece next to the lever snapped out of place and is hanging there. I know its not the best description, but I just noticed now, and its like 2 degrees out, just looking to see if anyone know where to start. Thanks!!

I can't offer much advice.... except check the fuse. I don't have my Haynes service manual infront of me, but I can look it up if you need.

But if the level isn't clicking.... um... that'* bad.... I'd say you'd have to take it apart and see what'* what.

But I'm no gearhead by any means.... should probably wait for one to chip in here..... they'd know better then I.

you will need to take the hush panel off from under the steering column. look to the left side and you will see a metal rod that goes from the lever to a box. that is your dimmer switch. Make sure the lever didnt jump off of the bottom, mine did that once and it was aweful!!! it is an easy fix though

Yea I hate working in the cold.... I can't wait for the day where I have my house... with a 3 car garage and my 3 Bonnies all inside.... with enough room to work on each... (that'* right 3 Bonnies... 2007 GXP)...... </me wakes up from dreaming and gets back on topic>

Do you know anyone w/ a garage that might let you use it for a bit?

Could you live without high beams till it'* warmer? Most of this is inside the car, so just do it after you drive the car somewhere...

I have to get the car inspected in the next week or so, and they check for high beams in NJ state inspection, other than that I dont really care too much bout em...
