To swap a lock cylinder I believe you need a special tool that is usually rentable at most parts stores.

Brad.. we aren't sure if vats saved his car, since the lock cylinder isn't currently turning enough to start the car. Overall..our systems are so widely advertized with how to disable it.. if the thief had a clue..that car would be gone.

88.. I already agreed with ya We like to mention the options here..for some..a column isn't readily available and fixing may be the better fix. Personally..I'd already have that new column in the car.

Well.....I have everything unplugged and unbolted, but I can't get the column to pull off the bottom knuckle. The bolt is out down there - is there something I am forgetting to do? Do I need a special tool of any sort? Am I just being too careful, and need to pull harder? Don't want to break something else.....
