Default HELP PLEASE!! where is the door jamb switch for dome lights?

Hello all I am new to the forums I come to you all in a time of need. the other day my dome lights decided to stay on all the time. so i am looking for the door jamb switch that controls them when you open the door looked all around and even pulled the door panel off thinking it is built in the door somehow. if someone out there knows where I can find it I would appreciate it, right now I ripped all the lights out so i could at lease drive it. thanks

derek

If you pull the door panel off there is a flat black switch with a slider that connects into the actual door handle.. It probably broke or fell off. I'm off looking for pics..

You need to get in there and see what is happening. Might be loose...might be broken..might be something else. Test it with a multimeter set to ohms for continutiy and go from there.

Personally I'd hit the junkyard..they won't know what it is anyway.

Hmm, what keeps the lights on until you close the doors?

Could this possibly be the reason both my rear reading lights quit at the same time?
