Default help with part# please

I need the part number for the carpet retaining clips (93 SSEi). Local dealer can't find them and GMpartsdirect doesn't list them (at least from what I can tell). They are probably discontinued from GM, but I found a source that believes they can cross reference the GM number. These are the clips located on the side of the floor pan, 3 per side, and hold the wiring harness in the lower portion of the clip. 3 of mine are rusted in two.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I THINK they come with the long plastic piece that runs along the sill on the inside. From front to rear, and meets the bottom of the A, B, and C pillars. That long interior-colored plastic trim piece is actually called the carpet retainer.

I only have left and right part numbers, but it doesn't call out the color, of which there were 5 available from 92-99. Your best bet is a wrecker.

These are mounted to the floor plan. Maybe they do come with those trim pieces, but it would seem doubtful. I fear a wrecker may be a waste of time since they may not be in any better shape than mine. I checked with the local pontiac body shop, he doesn't think they come with that piece either (I know exactly which one you are speaking about, we seen it this morning).

Thanks for looking. It looks like I'm fabricating. Fun fun fun. I'm also having to do some fiberglass work on repairing the duct under the console.

That would rock my friend. Yards around here are pretty sparse when it comes to Bonnevilles.

It'* the burden I take on knowing that we've hoarded them all in the northeast.

I might have to give them an acid bath to wash off all the yankee cooties.

Although being from WV, I think I can claim dual citizenship with both the north and south.

Griff, ANY H or C body (Le Sabre, Park Avenue, etc) will have the same parts.
