Tim, no Bonneville in the 92-99 years has dual-zone.

I stand corrected then, I had wrongly assumed the Bonnevilles had it as an option since the Olds 88'* did. There goes that idea then. Sorry.

I don't know that I would take anything off unless you can visually see a problem, a crack, a gap, etc. I've learned that doing things around areas prone to crack and break can make them crack and break even when nothing was wrong before.

well, i hope i found the problem. the bottom was missing (completely broken away) from the bottom of the cover over the blower motor, a very large hole almost half the cover is gone. going to try to repair with fiberglass or carbon fiber, let you know how it goes.

I don't think that would be the problem. The cover on my our Olds broke apart last year when changing out the blower motor, no extra heat coming into the car and the covers been off since. I would cover it with duct tape as a test and see vefore investing alot of work.

Is the air hot in the morning when the motor'* first started and it'* cool in engine compartment? What about when the recirculate is turned on on a cold start? Is it any cooleer?

I started the car and the air was a little warmer than outside. while the car warmed up the air got hotter. i don't think the recirc door is working, there is no audible change when it is on or off and it made no difference in the temp of the air. i don't even know where the recirc door is to check it. i fixed my vac problem at the controller and i know the vac is getting to the line for the recirc, but it'* not doing anything. If this is stuck open or closed what kind of difference would it make in the air temp?

Recir door opens & closes air from the outside. I don't think it would cause air that was much hotter than outside air into the car. I'd really take another look at the airmix door & actuator, When the air is comming in hot adjust the heat to full hot and see if the air gets even hotter. Also, can you change where this hot air is getting blown to (ie defrosters, vents, floor) ?

checked air mix door again, working just fine, air is much hotter when set to 90 but still kinda warm when set to 60. recalibated the door/actuator according to instructions found in the forum. could the door be obstructed and not closing all the way? yes i can control where the air is going since i fixed my vacuum problem at the programmer a while back. the recirc door does not seem to be working but it'* not the programmer the vacuum turn on and off at the programmer, the door just isn't moving. does anyone know where that door is so that i can check it?
