I went out this morning to start the car, it'll crank but it just won't catch. It ran fine last night...no symtoms. It has a full tank of gas and it hasn't been that cold here so I don't think it'* a frozen fuel line. New set of plugs 3 weeks ago. Would a clogged cat cause this? Could it be the crank sensor? Any help would be appreciated...Andru.

Do you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key? I had my fuel pump die on my previous car, and it had the same symptoms as you describe.

Dru,

I had this problem before turned out to be the Ignition Module and Coil. I think there is a heat problem with these 'cause it happened about three times to me, try to find a store that carries lifetime warranties for these, and save those receipts.

Service manual :

1. Fuel Pump
2. Spark plugs
3. Pcv for leaks
4. TPS for sticking
5. Cooling sensor
6. Fuel Pressure
7. Water contaminated fuel
8. EGR Valve
9. Fuel Pump relay

Thanks for helping me narrow things down guys. It turns out the culprit was the fuel pump. Hopefully this will be the last repair for awhile! L8r...Andru.
