Default HELP 1992 ssei woes

i ahve a 1992 bonneville SSEi...i jsut got the car today..car has 200k,,gm certa tranny, new supercharger,,,etc,,,engine was all dealermainted...in excellent condition

i was on the highway today and i noticed it lacked power,,,coming onto the onramp the service engine light came on,,the car died (no ps, brakes etc) and WORST LOW OIL PRESSURE

i turned the key to accessory and then on and yes again the car started was knocking and no oil pressure,,i immediately shut it off...luckily i was not far from home so i pushed it home

any ideas what the problem is??

i jsut checked the car it has been sitting for 3 hours

the supercharger is still very very hot i can barely even touch it

also i smelled some fuel

i am wondering if the supercharger is no functional and the engine was dumping so much fuel and it wasn't burning because the supercharger was not working

i tried starting it again and i think the knocking (weird nose regarldless) was coming from the charger

does this sound right?

i have to get it towed back to my work so i can check it more thoroughly

if the sc has no oil does it need new seals? or is it cooked??

also a side note..the cars boost guage was always ON FULL

even at idle the boost guage was reading full

mind u i jsut got the car...so i was looking into this..i took it for a test drive and this was happens..

Moved to 1992-1999. Please don't post mechanical problems in Performance and Brainstorming.

On some cars the gauges, have problems with the gauges going wacky and pegging themselves.

EDIT, I saw that the SC is knocking. Where did the SC come from, do you have a reciept to show where it was purchased?

I believe you have a FEW problems. Why are you asking about oil? Is it empty? Have you checked it?

The boost gauge should be all the way to the left at idle. Are the vacuum lines hooked up properly to the BCA and BCS?

now i noticed 3 hrs later that the SC is still VERY VERY HOT

the engine is cool

CHECK the SC oil. It doesn't use engine oil. To find out if the SC is knocking, remove the SC belt and start the car. Not for long, though, as the water pump is on the same belt path.

TECHINFO at the top of the page may be of help to you in checking your SC oil.

The SC oil is accessable from the top. There'* a hex plug in the */C nose.

Let'* take this one step at a time. When your SC is reading full boost (about 7-8 psi with a stock pulley) it indicates the SC is actually functioning. SC'* don't 'blow'. Well, they do, but not in that sense.

Please follow the instructions above before jumping to more conclusions.
