now that it'* cold outside i've noticed that my heater isn't working up to par.... sometimes it works..sometimes it just blows out cold air... ???? ..sometimes i'll start up the car and turn on the heater immediately and it will start to work...but then i'll start moving and then it just starts blowing out cold air again... help

First off make sure that the EVAP Core isn't clogged (this allows proper air flow). Secondly make sure the T-Stat is a 195 degree for proper operating temperature. Thirdly make sure the coolant level is full & no leaks are present (air in the system causes less flow - therefore less HEAT). If any work has been performed on the cooling system lately, make sure the system has been "bled" of ALL air by using the vent valve on the top of the T-Stat housing. Also make sure the coolant is claen & of proper strength according to your climate (up here it'* -40 Celius).

..another thing i noticed was that my temperature guage ( showing exterior temps) is flashing ...? what'* that mean?

OK, you have to go to the dealer and have them retrieve the climate control codes for you. There is an internal problem with your system. Sounds like the air mix door from your symptoms.
