I got to see the "Lamp Monitor" in action this past weekend, on the Bonne.

Curious exactly how that works, but that is not my main question.

Does anyone know if the headlight housing comes apart? Meaning, if the front glass can be removed from the main housing assembly. It sure looks like it could, and there'* 3 clips that appear to hold the glass part on. But I was hesitant to really pry on it to see.

The reason I ask is, I've got a pretty large hole on the passenger side glass. And over time, the small amount of debris that blows in thru there has left marks on the chrome backing inside. I will probably start calling around or stop in to some local salvage yards, but wondering if I'll need the entire housing assembly as a whole, or if I can just replace the glass. I put in a cheap bulb to get me by for now. But I think getting a sealed housing would be a help in my case, no way to know how long a bulb can last when exposed to the elements.

Anyone have experience with these? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!!

1993 SLE did take them apart...searching his name and angel eyes would show you his taking apart.
