Default Headlight problem

I have a 95 SE and today when I went to turn off the lights (twilight sentinel was off) they shut off then immediately turned back on and now they won't go off even when the car isn't running. I have no idea what the problem could be but any help would be appreciated.

Well I just disconected the battery and reconected it and it seems to be working ok now, but I don't know why they lights stayed on like they did.
