Have you replaced your defective upper intake?
:( SHEESH
Isn't this interesting :?
(don't you have to wonder if it involved some sort of "extended warranty" deal ?)
From my research on the issue (-and my '99 bonneville had catastrophic failure of both the upper manifold, AND the lower manifold gaskets, which nearly cost me the whole engine, due to crankshaft bearing/ coolant damage) all of my sources, including both GM dealers here in town, is that "GM is offering absolutely no good will whatsoever on these failures."
So, what the heck is the story here :?:

I got antifreeze in my oil from a bad Plenum and gaskets. I need to spend about $800 for a new one replaced. If this is a known issue they need to play for a known issue. Who have you been bringing your issues up to. I would appreciate the address so I can join the fight!!
you can get the aluminum frame lim gaskets and a dorman upper kit that has the new style manifold and all the gaskets and new style egr ports for a little more than 100 at rockauto

This is a campaign! I think we should all post here answering the questions below and send GM a copy of this post. There is obviously something wrong with there design and yet they continue to produce!
My idea of "EXCITMENT" is not putting my car in the shop!
If so, post here:
(Copy paste the questions below into your reply and briefly answer the questions)
What car had the problem?
What year is your car?
How many miles where on your Car?
Who did the repair?
What was the final cost of the repair?
Your contact info?
