Is this a good deal for a REman engine?

Based on the price, it appears they are using a Master engine rebuild kit that includes all new components. Check the link to Northern Auto; when you add the three kits, is what Federal Mogul calls a Master Engine Rebuild kit. Everything comes in a single box. The prices you see in the link are for the public; large shops get WD pricing and can be as much as 48% less cost to the shop based on their amount of business.

The public price for the whole kit is $1417.42; the shop probably pays around $880.00 for the complete kit and the remaindder of the price is machining, assembly and incidental costs. Not a bad kit since it contains Hyperteutic pistons and Felpro gaskets too.
