GM Part number 24501381....24501383 questions
ok...my tensioner is messed up...on it saids number 24501381...but its an invalid gm number...so im goin to order 24501383...Goulds Bros here in monti said that it had a rectangle key on it so i should be fine...should i go for the 83 one?

GM uses "Casting Numbers" on most parts. These P/N'* are used for assembly on the line only. Service P/N'* are used to order replacement parts. Sometimes GM uses the same P/N for both applications, but, most of the time GM does not.

so does that mean that the 24501383 is the part i need? the dealer wants 83 bucks and gmparts wants 39 but i dont wnat to order from gm parts nad have the key on teh back be different...the one at the dealer is the one i need...and he said the part number was 83...so are athey the same/
