Default Gasket between rear manifold and downpipe

On the Series 2 motors there is a thin metal gasket between the rear manifold and top of the downpipe. One side of the gasket has a crush-type ridge that seals when you tighten down the connecting nuts. My question: does the crush ridge face the manifold or the downpipe when installing?

Need an answer ASAP, so I can get out of the garage in order to do MooseGundr'* brakes. Thanks!

I'm not sure it matters, but I think I remember Tim saying the crushridge part usually goes towards the mani.

That'* good, because we ended up putting the crush ridge on the manifold side. Thanks Todd!
