And where'* the port on the intake fuel rail to check the pressure? My manual doesn't say.
Just got the new fuel pump. No fuel starvation symptoms from the old one, but the damned thing is humming so loud it sounds like I kicked over a beehive.
I'm gonna change it. gives me the creeps.

Did you buy an AC Delco unit? I just replaced mine too with an AC Delco.
The schrader valve is on the front of the fuel rail, on the driver'* side of the rail. There'* a cap on top of the valve. The pressure should be about 48 lbs.
I noticed a considerable difference in performance by mearly changing the pump.

My pump in my 95 was also making a lot of noise before I replaced it... It gave me the creeps, and at the same time I was watching the pressure get lower and lower... I installed a New AC Delco pump, and its sooo quiet you almost can't hear it even if you pay attention to it, and my fuel pressure is up in its normal range

Yes, it'* identical. thank you, Baby Jesus! .
Ya know what? Looking at that assembly, it occurs to me that a hole in the trunk floor in the appropriate place and a cover for the hole held down with sheetmetal screws might make the job easier next time.
I plan to keep the car until the wheels fall off, of course.

Tradervar has the lowest price I have found so far.
Is there any way to find out if they are legitimate?
