Default Fuel Injector fuse keeps blowing ,Please Help

I Have a 99 bonneville se. I have never had a problem with till recently.
Now it is blowing fuel injector fuses causing the engine to shut down. I thought it was the injector plug going to the number 4 injector. When i wiggled that plug it blew the fuse, so i disconnected that plug replaced the fuse and it started without blowing the fuse. ( of course check engine light came on after that ) so i put the plug back on when it was running to see if it would blow automatically . It didnt. But i know it is a just a matter of time. Can anyone help me with this. maybe point me in a better direction. would bad injectors cause a surge of power to blow fuse?[/b]

Disconnect all 6 injectors and use an ohm-meter across the two contacts of each injector. Report your numbers back here.

Disconnecting one may not stop the problem if there is a short in your harness. This one is giong to take some digging, but let'* start with checking the injector resistances (basic form of impedance testing if you prefer).

1 6.43 2 6.34

3 6.40 4 6.34

5 6.40 6 6.34

I tested 1 , 3 and 5 first I did go back and test 1,3,5 again after iwas done and they started to read 6.34 pretty much all the same, Let me know what you think, I appreciate your help !

Those readings are good. Which fuse # is blowing, we need to see if anything else is on that circuit.

A quick check shows just the injectors are on that circuit. Does the fuse blow as soon as the key is turned on or does it start & run for awhile.

About 2 weeks ago it happened after i drove it 2 blocks , Ithen replaced the fuse and it ran well until yesterday on my way home from work it stalled in my driveway. LOL .
I replaced the fuse and then it blew as soon as i turned the key i did this 3 times with the same result yesterday. today is when i wiggled the number 4 and it blew twice. ( which i think is just coincidence) It will start now. But i know there is a problem and dont want to get stranded somewhere .

Power gets to the injectors via the pink wires. I'd look those over for any worn spots in the insulation. Even though the injectors are checking good now they may change as they warm up. Keep the meter with you & recheck if it stalls again.
