i have the same issue with fuse #8 and it happens when I shift into park.... A month or so it happened , then a few weeks later in did it again. I would replace the fuse and I would be fine! Then a few days ago, pulled the car up to wash it and it blew fuse 8 I replaced but now it blows fuse right when key is turned on!

Welcome to GM Forum! Tell us what kind of car you have, and we'll try to figure this one out.

Also, I moved your post into its own thread. No one will notice your question if you hide it at the bottom of a topic that'* been closed for three years.

Sounds like you have a short due to chafed wiring somewhere in the steering column, it'* where I would start looking.

You say fuse 8. That would be in the right hand A pillar fuse panel, correct? Is that just fuse 8 or does it also have a letter associated with it?

When you look at the fuse block & you say fuse #8 can you tell me what Fuse #8 is for?
