Default fuel door lock

Hey all,

Such a small thing , but a big problem

My fuel door will not open...i hit the unlock button and it will not unlock. Has anyone had this come up? any ideas on how to fix it?

the lock is either not getting the signal to release the magnet isnide or the cable is broken

there is a tab inside the trunk to release the lock and get the gas door open
