Default frustrated plz help!

ok here goes i'll try to shorten the story...my car would stall, just die, then would not start, i replaced the fuel filter, pump, relay, regulator, still it would start sometimes run, then stall, not start. finally replaced the computer, started right up..was running fine, then tonight when i drove it it stalled, restarted right away, but when i step on the gas with any more than minimal pressure it stalls. did that a few times, so i drove it very gently, after it warmed up the problem seemed to stop. had it parked for hours, started right away went only a few yards and stalled. this time when i restarted it it would surge on it'* own and stall repeatedly about 8 times then started and ideled. i drove it gently home, although anytime i really push on the accelerator check gages light comes on and it dings, i let off of the accelerator quickly and it will not stall. will even do this if i'm parked and rev the engine. during the problems before the computer change most electrical connections were tested, fuel rail was removed and put back on. there were many things done. too long. looking in repair manuel it seems that it must be a loose electrical connection at the injectors, or an air leak at the manifold, but i also wonder if one bad injector could cause this problem? reason is that one was replaced because person working on car broke the original one. i believe that the injector could possibly not be the correct one for my car..oh it'* a 94 not supercharged. it does seem to be running a bit rough as well now, which it never did before. plz help!!! i am so frustrated trying to diagnose this myself..thanx

Well, the first thing we need to find out is what those SES codes are. We can speculate all day on what is wrong but those codes will be a HUGE help. A few of us here (myself included) have factory service manuals with specific troubleshooting guides for codes.

You'll need to find someone with an OBD1 scanner and the 16 pin OBD2 cable on it. Any good shop or dealer will have this, but places who offer free scans (like parts stores) probably won't be able to figure out how to scan your car.

So if i find someone that has a scanner, is the 16-pin OBD 2 cable something they may not have? And can you tell me how I would scan my car? Without going into a lot of detail...I really need my car running and can not afford to keep putting money into fixing it. And can you tell me is it at least possible that this problem could occur if one of the injectors was for a different car?

Faulty Crank position sensor. Only working at idle? That is my guess. Im thinking its not directly related to fuel delivery.

when the check gages light comes on there are no gages in the red..i replaced the little part that has three nipples on it to the vacuum hoses. and immediatly the car ran perfect. i drove it approx 4 miles with no problems whatsoever..then when i started it about 4 hours later it ran great for about a mile and started the same thing..dies when i step on the gas. i'm about ready to blow the damned thing up! someone plz tell me there is an easy fix. it runs so good when it does..and i haven't got the $ to just put it in the shop, and noone here that really knows much about cars at all. i've been reading my service manuel alot..i wonder too if it could just be a clogged fuel filter..even though it was replaced not that long ago. i know i should have it scanned but am not able to at this time. any helpful suggestions would really be appreciated.

any auto parts store worth their wax should do it for free. They figure they'll get some business cause of it.

I got the computer from autozone. and at least the car starts every time now since it was changed..no i've never had it scanned, and the autoparts store is not allowed by law in california to scan cars anymore..really sucks! The cheapest I've been able to find too is $70 stupid! Well now get this..I was checking for vacuum leaks checking wires etc. and now i've found as it warms up it will go to a higher and higher rpm before wanting to die. Also if i hold it right at 4000 it flucuates..like i'm throtteling it, this is after i've had the car running for about an hour off and on but i'm keeping my foot steady, but it was not actually dieing either. In fact it seems that the warmer it gets the better it runs. Go figure. It'* so weird to me because when it runs right it is a great car, it just doesn't seem to want to run right.
