Default Front windshield replacement cost? 1997 Bonneville SSE

The car was parked in the yard, 1997 Bonneville SSE. It was fine. I go out this morning and the front windshield is cracked across the drivers side just above the heads up display!!! Crap! What is a good price to expect to pay for a new windshield?

Thanks!

where are you located? There might be yards around that can get you one fairly cheap off car. Otherwise they can be $600-1200 I think is what I have heard.

About 240 at Safelite.com thats without the HUD. Make sure the get that seal in correctly. You may have to call them back a few times to correct leaks.

If you get a non-HUD windshield there wil be a double image from the HUD.

Do you have glass coverage?? If so,it should cover the new windshield probably with no deductable

Well I like driving this car, but it is almost 10 years old. I carry collision insurance on the car, but I do not have comprehensive. A tree limb must have fallen on the front windshield, that is all I can figure. Then again one of my neighbors could have been mowing their yard and thrown a rock with their lawn mower. This is one of those mysteries. I don't think anyone is going to fess up.

I am going to have to find someone local who can replace this windshield if there is a problem with leaks with the internet folks. That should be no problem though.

Thanks for the pricing. At least now I won't be totally shocked. I like the hud in this car, but I did not get it on my C5 Corvette, because I tend to ignore it on the road especially on the freeway.

I am getting mine installed on a 1997 SE for $250 CANADIAN on Thursday next week. Now, I know the guy so I'm getting a little better price on labor, but I also don't have heads up display. I think you will be looking around the $600 mark.

Hey guys. I got a new windshield today for $275.00 installed with the heads up display. I have been checking on a high speed skip in my engine. I pulled the coils off today and they seem to be alright. Could they have just corroded on the contacts and pulling them off cleaned them a little? I swear the car seems to run better now.

The window they installed was broken imagine that. They get to replace it tomorrow. People suck!
