According to the Pontiac parts man at my local dealer there is at least two parts to choose from and you need the VIN number to figure out which is the correct one. I recall it was about $40 or so. I would think the parts guy would give you the part number if you took your VIN by or called.

Just as described, there were two options and the VIN decided on the right one. GMPD had it for $28 and change plus * & h but I didn't want to wait for the part as my dash was hanging on for dear life. So I forked over $59 at the dealer and installed it this morning.

Blinkies GONE!

It sucks that the one from the parts car didn't work. Thanks for the tips, stever!

Hey, you are very, very welcome. I cannot believe I actually fixed that thing!!! I know it sounds silly, but it was a real 'you gotta be kidding me' moment when I started tearing the interior apart! BUt what rush when the blinkies stopped!!! Also, took the oportunity to work on the instrument panel connections and soldering and - guess what? So far no flickering or intermittent non-op!!!! Sometimes things do go right!
