farmboy, tell your wrecking yard there are Nearly NO compatibilities between the Series 1 and Series 2. The valve sequence is totally wrong, the heads are wrong, and the upper and lower intakes are incompatible. It was very nearly a total redesign.

I finally got the right motor yesterday, hopefully. The salvage yard owner didn't know what it came out of or what kind of mileage is on it, but we're certain we have the right one this time. If what I'm asking is on another thread, please point me in the right direction.
Is there one place that'* better than another to get the necessary gaskets? Is there anything in particular that I need to look for or avoid when I get the new UIM? Is the aluminum intake on the market yet? Is there a metal bypass elbow available? I've ordered the Ken-Co kit for the UIM.
