After performing this mod on my 1998 Olds Regency, it should be noted that it will cause the Check Engine Light to Illuminate. To be more specific, code P1562, "Fan 2 Relay Control Circuit Malfunction". This is because the PCM sees the High Speed Fan Relay active, even though it has not commanded the ground output to energize the high speed relay.

Just a heads up.
